Boba Straw
A boba straw is a specialized drinking straw used to consume boba, a popular Taiwanese beverage made with sweetened tea and tapioca pearls. Unlike regular straws, NFD paper boba straws are wider in diameter, typically 0.542” or 12mm, to accommodate the chewy tapioca pearls that are typically added to the beverage.
Boba straws are often made from materials such as plastic, metal, or bamboo and come in various lengths, shapes, and colors. Some boba straws are straight, while others have a bend or curve, making it easier to reach the bottom of the cup. Many boba straws also come with a wider, pointed end that can puncture the seal of a sealed cup, allowing the straw to be inserted without spilling the beverage.
Using a boba straw is simple. The straw is inserted into the cup through the seal or lid, and the user sucks the beverage through the straw, along with the chewy tapioca pearls. Once finished, the straw can be cleaned and reused or disposed of, depending on the material.
Overall, boba straws are an essential tool for enjoying boba and have become a staple in bubble tea shops worldwide.
